| We are citizen volunteers and human service professionals in partnership with our member agencies to improve the quality of life for all people in Merrimack County. We build for the future by investing in the human capital of the community. We do this by assembling financial and human resources contributed by the community, and focusing them on individuals and families at vulnerable times in their lives through the efforts we support. We maintain the confidence of the community by doing this with efficiency, integrity, and accountability. |

| United Way Venture Grants | |
| United Way Venture Grants are available on a one-time basis to provide funds to non-profit organizations (501)(c)(3)-certified) providing health or human services within Merrimack County. They are directed towards projects or programs meeting emerging needs or needs not currently being met. Money is set aside from the campaign each year (1.75% of pledges up to a total of $50,000.) Grant awards are limited to a maximum of $5,000 The five principal needs identified in our 2007 Community Needs Assessment are:
