16th Annual Letter
Carriers Food Drive A Success . . .
Thank You!
The 16th Annual Letter Carriers Food Drive -- held on May
10th -- was a tremendous community effort and a huge
success! The National Association of Letter Carriers, United
Way of Merrimack County, and the Capital Regional Food
Program collaborated on this project that resulted in over 7
tons of food being collected, sorted, and distributed to 18
agencies in the greater Concord area.
We want to thank everyone in the community who donated food,
the city and rural carriers who collected food donations,
the nearly 100 volunteers who sorted and boxed food
throughout the day, and New Hampshire Distributors for
providing the convenient and safe work space. In addition,
we thank the following businesses for their generous
contributions: Horn Packaging Corp.; Town and Country
Reprographics; Bridge & Bryon Printers; Shaws, Hannaford,
and Market Basket supermarkets; Coca-Cola Bottling of the
Lakes Region; Sal’s Just Pizza; D’Angelo’s–S. Main St.; Papa
Gino’s; Dominos, N. Main St.; Dunkin Donuts-Heights;
Constantly Pizza; In a Pinch; Panera Bread; and Subway
Sandwich-Epsom.
Thanks to the community’s generosity, the following local
food pantries received food donations: Friendly Soup
Kitchen, Community Action Program-Belknap Merrimack
Counties, Friends of Forgotten Children, West Congregational
Church, City of Concord Human Services, Town of Boscawen
Human Services, Boscawen Congregational Church, Pittsfield
Food Pantry, Chichester Food Pantry, First Congregational
