Serve is a nationwide neighborhood based self-help food distribution program. A network of churches, community centers and other groups are host organizations that operate as registration and distribution cites for food. The Concord distribution site is St. John’s Church on South Main Street. Food packages consist of at least 15 items at a significant discount from retail prices. Packages can be purchased with (1) two hours of community service, (2) $14 in cash, or (3) $14 in food stamps.

Women, Infants & Children Supplemental Food
Program (WIC)
Provides nutritious foods, nutrition education and health screenings to income-eligible pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women and to infants and children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk. Breastfeeding Peer Counselors are available to provide support and encouragement to breastfeeding mothers. Provides referrals to social service and health care providers -
Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)
Offers free and nutritious foods to help improve the health of income-eligible new mothers and seniors by providing nutrition education and a supplemental USDA commodity food package. The monthly food package provides a variety of foods. Nutrition education is provided to participants.
